we understand that the process of acquiring a VISA /WORK PERMIT in any country is time consuming and tiresome. We at GMR can assist you in matters pertaining to Malaysia Immigration. We shall provide you with information and documentation to obtain various passes.
Among the common passes involving foreigners in Malaysia:-
EMPLOYMENT PASS(EP)
Employment passes (EP) are issued to foreigners to be employed in Malaysia for a minimum period of 2 years. EP are normally issued to investor, skilled workers, professional and senior management in the company. The paid up capital of the potential employer must be at least RM250,000 and salary must be more or equal to RM3,000. The applicant's salary has to be under the local payroll. The application is made to a committee which sits for a meeting every 2 weeks. The committee will evaluate the company and the position applied for before granting approval.
VISIT PASS TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT
Visit Pass Temporary Employment (VPTE) is issued to foreigners to be employed in Malaysia for a duration of less than 2 years. The paid up capital of the potential employer must be at least RM250,000 and salary must be more or equal to RM3,000. The applicant's salary has to be under the local payroll.
The application is made to a committee which sits for a meeting every 2 weeks. The committee will
evaluate the company and the position applied for before granting approval.
PROFESSIONAL VISIT PASS
Professional Visit Passes are issued to foreigners who wish to enter for the purpose of engaging in shorterm attachment with any agencies. For instance, foreigners assisting in the installation,
maintenance and training for the use of new machine or equipment. The validity of pass varies, but not exceeding 12 months at any time.
